Road to Adult

Arthritis Care

Moving from pediatric to adult arthritis care is an important milestone that can bring new responsibilities, opportunities, and questions. Whether you’re a young person preparing to take charge of your health, or a parent or caregiver learning how to support that independence, you’re in the right place.

This web site was created by leading arthritis researchers at McMaster University, Dr. Michelle Batthish, Dr. Karen Beattie, and Matthew Sholdice. The website’s purpose is to help teens and young adults make the move to adult arthritis care smoother, and support parents, caregivers and adult rheumatologists in the process. You’ll find practical tools, reliable information, and real-life guidance from people who’ve been there.

No matter where you are on your journey, you’re not alone. Together, we can make the move to adult arthritis care confident, informed, and empowering.
